A real treasure

The other day I was emptying my older camera bag and found things that I've thought I lost long time ago. Don't you love when that happens?
Every time I travel, I have to bring home a keepsake. I used to buy magnets from every city/country I've been to but my fridge got overwhelmed a little. But I've never stopped collecting little reminders such as entrance tickets, business cards or any other small tokens. It is a great way to always remember the feeling you had when you were at that exact place. So when I found a handful of those little souvenirs, it made my heart jump a bit. All the incredible places we visited before we moved back to States are now more alive in my memory than ever before.
What about you? Are you a fan of collecting of those little treasures?

From around the world

Hello there, how was your weekend? We are in the process of moving again and during the weekend we were looking for a new home. Moving. We've changed 3 places in last 4 years, some were overseas, some just local. And I know that this is going to be our pattern. This is who we are. We are too excited about the world and want to experience as much as we can in our lifetime. Only thinking about it already puts a smile on my face. But I am not going to lie, with every move, a piece of my heart breaks a little. Moving. It's hard and stressful but as they say: one door closes, another opens. And I can't wait to unlock the new gate of unknown.

Smiles from Tibet.

This will make my taste buds very happy.

Like this shirt.

And those shoes would be a perfect match.

Websites you should know and use.

A toilet roll. In a way you haven't seen it before.

15 toys made with cardboard.

Kids these days.

Hope this beautiful city will end the protests soon. We heart Istanbul.

You'd be mad not to check out..

Lately I've been seeing many maps... on the clothes. Yes, you've read it correctly. They are everywhere, skirt, shirts, sweaters, you name it. I am not sure if I'd wear the world on myself;), but it's a cute idea and that dress is still on my mind. What about you? Would you try it?

Like this skirt:

Or this embroidered sweater:

Or this dress with the map of Paris:

Or leggins for you and your little one

Have an amazing weekend and I will meet you here on Monday!

The streets of Europe

To me, there is nothing that can beat summer in Europe. Not even close. There is just something magical about that place.. hot and narrow streets, smell of expensive fragrances, the lovely sound of different languages...  Three months of pure bliss. But those streets, those streets come haunting you back and it takes a whole lot not to return, again, to their arms.

Being anonymous in a new city

Why is that every time you travel to a new destination, you feel like a completely new person? The clothes that were buried in your closet will all of the sudden come to life? The braver you will appear out of nowhere? Or is that the REAL you?
I wonder why so many people love feeling anonymous in a new city. Is that because nobody knows you there, because you can be more "adventurous"? Maybe. To me, the sensation of exploring a new city, new place, excites me and with that excitement comes a new persona that catches a sight of the light in a whole new way. It makes me scream: "Bring it on!" And with that, the bashfulness disappears, prejudices vanish and another layer of myself opens up to a new beginning, to a more indisputable me.

From around the world

Hello there, how was your weekend? On Sunday we visited the the food festival and my belly is still pretty satisfied. I enjoyed the variety of international houses offering their tasty meals, the music, people. Oh, how much do I love the cultural experience.
And we actually got the chance to watch this movie and let me tell you, I was so disappointed. Overly dramatic from the very first moment. Don't get me wrong, I can't even imagine what that day must have been like (neither I want to), but I feel like the direction of this movie was pretty poor. And I couldn't stand their suffering and opening the old wounds. I'd be curious what was your take on this one? I will ask again, have you seen it?
Anyway, here are some links for you! And Happy Memorial Day if you are in the US!

Any form of dance is beautiful. Even the colorful one.

Hands down, the coolest apartment I've ever seen.

Another article about parenting.

This picture amazes me. Tells a story. Wonderful.

The summer is almost here. And this dress would be perfect for it.

Dip dyed T-shirt.

Lily knows the whole world. And she is not even 2 years old. (thanks Kate!)

For all Friends fans out there;)!

Crispy Chickpea Pita.

You'd be mad not to check out..

Why they weren't making cute maps like this one when I was a little child? What a great educational tool! If you have a free wall where you can hang this colorful beauty, don't hesitate to get one. Your child (or you, let's be honest here) can play with the stickers and learn at the same time. And what a great decoration it would make in anyone's room? What do you think?
